What is Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy uses hypnosis which allows the client to be induced into a trance state ( a deep state of relaxation) to help work through issues that maybe embedded in the subconscious mind. During the trance state the client has a heightened state of focused attention, During this state of focused attention the mind is more responsive to suggestions. During the process the hypnotherapist can make suggestions (direct or indirect) to the client. Clinical hypnotherapy has been successful at helping clients with many different issues.

Can everyone be hypnotized?

Yes! The good news is everyone can be hypnotized. Everyone can be induced into a trance. Trance is a very natural state that we go in and out of throughout our everyday lives. Whenever you feel your mind start to drift or wonder off  e.g. If your watching TV and you start to daydream or your driving your normal route on automatic and your mind drifts off. These are forms of light trance. Everyone is able to access trance. The difference is some people can go deeper than others. The results will not be effected whether you are in a light or deep trance.  During clinical hypnosis only a light trance is required to obtain results.

How often will the hypnotherapy sessions be held?

Hypnotherapy sessions are recommended every two to four weeks until desired results are achieved. Each session will be approximately 50 minutes.

Are the results Guaranteed?

Everyone responds differently to hypnotherapy and at different paces. The amount of sessions needed can vary each client. The results achieved can also vary each client dependent on many factors. We can not guarantee results. Hypnotherapy has been proven to be a very effective form of therapy and has many benefits.

How will I feel after my hypnotherapy session?

After a hypnotherapy session most clients will feel relaxed and refreshed.

Is Hypnotherapy a one off session?

Hypnotherapy for smoking cessation is a single session which takes approximately two hours including the initial consultation. Hypnotherapy for other concerns consists of multiple 50 minutes sessions on average between six to ten sessions.

Is Hypnotherapy mind control?

No hypnotherapy is not mind control. During hypnosis the hypnotherapist can not make you do anything you do not want to do. Hypnotherapy only works if the client wants to achieve the goals suggested by the hypnotherapist. During Hypnosis you are in control and aware of everything that is happening.
